Today turned out to be a pretty nice day considering that yesterday's forecast for today called for rain for most of the day. So since it was so nice, Rick was able to make some progress on the wall. It's really beginning to take shape.

Rick had to make another trip to the quarry this morning to get smaller rock for the upper portions of the wall. After he did that, he came by to drop it off and cleaned up his work area to prepare for the added rock. He then left to pick up more gravel rock at a near-by quarry. Upon returning from there, he had everything he needed to move forward and make progress. He also laid a foundation of gravel rock in the area near where the future steps will be located. That's going to be a tight space for him to work so he wanted to build a little "road" for his excavator for when he's ready for that piece.

While I was outside this evening, I noticed that the Japanese Maple tree is in full bloom and the green leaves are so vibrant right now that I thought a picture of the pups was in order. Jake was happy about it, Lexee was not!

Rick cleaned up the area so he could lay out the rock.

A look at the smaller rock he brought in today.

He placed his rock out. This lets him see the shapes better and gives him the ability to see which ones will allow for the right fit for a specific area.

My Azaleas are about to bloom!!!

Looks like a big pile of rocks!

This is the area where he'll need to drive on a bit with the excavator to place rock in that corner space.

Front view of rock wall.

Side view.

Now ain't he just precious? I love his white coat against that vibrant green.

He's listening as there is a car approaching in the distance.

I asked Jake a question. Don't remember what, but questions always make him cock his head to the side.

Lexee wasn't happy about getting her picture taken. She just wanted to get down.

This side of the rock wall is now complete!
